The primary goal of the Church is to proclaim the glory of God and the salvation of the faithful. However, guided by the law of love and acknowledging that Christianity has a personalistic and eudaemonistic dimension, the Church – looking retrospectively at its roots – also engages in activities for religious formation, public worship, publishing, education, upbringing, culture, charity, and care. All of this, however, requires appropriate means and infrastructure. Church legal entities have the right to collect donations for religious purposes, church charitable and caregiving activities, scholarly, educational, and upbringing initiatives, as well as the support of clergy and religious orders.
